Performers:
As a performer you are committed to giving your very best for the people who have come out to hear you. Everything you say and do while on stage will communicate something to the audience. It is your job to:
- Work hard in class and practice regularly so you are prepared to play well
- Arrive early enough to give yourself a chance to be ready
- Be sure you have your music, your concert clothes, and that your instrument is in good working order
- Walk on stage quietly and in an orderly fashion
- Remain seated and quiet between pieces
- Stand to acknowledge the applause after your last piece. The audience is saying “Thank you” with their applause and you are replying “You’re welcome” by standing. Mr. Brehaut also says “You’re welcome” by taking a bow on behalf of the band.

- Please remain seated for the entire concert. It’s important for the younger musicians to listen to the older ones and vice versa
- Please turn off cell phones
- Please refrain from talking while the pieces are being played
- If you must move around or leave, please do this only during the break between pieces
